Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 30, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains the technical and editorial practices of San Diego Trip Guide, an independent informational travel guide operated by The Travel Spark Company LLC. It describes information that may be processed when you browse the site, use an enabled feature, or follow a link to a third-party service. It is provided for transparency and should not be read as legal advice.

Information processed when you visit

The web server and security services may process basic request information such as an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device characteristics, referring page, and security events. This information is used to deliver the site, diagnose failures, limit abuse, and protect the service. Server and security retention periods depend on operational and hosting settings.

WordPress may set essential cookies for administrators or signed-in users. Public visitors are not asked to create an account as part of the normal guide experience. Nonessential analytics, advertising, embedded maps, chat, or similar tracking should not load unless they are separately configured and any required consent path is in place.

Contact and newsletter features

A contact or newsletter interface may be displayed only when an authorized delivery destination and confirmation path have been configured. When active, the interface will explain the fields collected, the purpose of collection, and the relevant consent or unsubscribe controls. Until that path is configured, San Diego Trip Guide does not represent an on-page message or subscription as delivered.

If you contact the operator through a separately published channel, the contents of your message and the contact details you provide may be processed to answer the request, maintain appropriate business records, and protect against abuse. Do not submit sensitive personal information through a general travel-guide inquiry.

Bookable experiences and lodging links

The site may display tours, activities, lodging, or other travel products supplied by independent providers. Product data, availability, prices, ratings, reviews, images, cancellation terms, and booking links remain provider-controlled. Selecting a product or booking button may send you to a provider or affiliate destination. That third party processes information under its own policies and may use cookies or tracking associated with its service.

San Diego Trip Guide may receive compensation when a qualifying transaction is completed through an eligible affiliate link. The presence of a link does not change the price shown by the provider and does not make the site the merchant, tour operator, hotel, transportation provider, or payment processor.

Comments, media, and user accounts

If comments are enabled, WordPress may collect the information entered in the comment form together with technical request data used for moderation and spam protection. If media uploads or public accounts are enabled in the future, additional notices may be required. Visitors should not upload images containing location metadata unless they intend that information to travel with the file.

Service providers and disclosure

Information may be processed by hosting, security, caching, email-delivery, analytics, or travel-inventory services when those services are actually enabled. The current technical configuration may change as the site is maintained. Information may also be preserved or disclosed when reasonably necessary to protect the site, investigate abuse, comply with applicable process, or defend legal rights.

Retention and choices

Retention depends on the information and operational purpose. Security logs may be retained for a limited diagnostic or abuse-prevention period. Business correspondence may be kept while a request is active and for appropriate recordkeeping afterward. Provider-side booking information is controlled by the provider, not this guide.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability. A verified request may require enough information to locate the relevant record and confirm that the requester is authorized. Some information may be retained where required for security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, or compliance.

Children, international visitors, and security

The site is a general-audience travel guide and is not designed to collect personal information from children. Visitors access the site from many locations; data-protection rules can vary. Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when features, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of the page identifies the current published version. Material technical changes should be reflected in this page before a new collection path is represented as active.
